Zombie Survival Guide

Escape Planning

Escape Map Compass

Always have more than one escape route. Never depend on a single path to safety. Roads can become blocked or overrun, so plan at least two exit options for every safe zone or shelter. Know your environment and rehearse those routes if possible.

Avoid cities and high-population areas. Urban zones are often the first to fall in outbreaks. They’re crowded, dangerous, and hard to navigate under pressure. Stick to open roads, rural areas, and forests to increase your survival chances.

Move fast, but never rush blindly. Speed helps you stay ahead, but carelessness will get you killed. Scan ahead as you move and listen for movement. Zombies and other survivors can be around any corner, so never let your guard down.

Leave signs or markers for teammates. Chalk, ribbons, or arrows can help others track your route or warn of danger. Just don’t make them too obvious or you could attract attention from enemies.

Know when to hide and when to run. You won’t always win by fighting or fleeing. Sometimes the best move is to stay hidden and quiet until danger passes. Learn to recognize when escape is smart—and when stillness is safer.

Fuel & Vehicle Tips

Fuel Jug Car

Choose a fuel-efficient and quiet vehicle. A small car, motorcycle, or hybrid is better than a loud truck. Fuel will run out fast, so choose something that uses less and makes less noise while driving.

Stock fuel in safe containers. Use approved gas cans, not random bottles or jars. Fuel is dangerous if stored wrong. Keep it in cool, dry places away from heat, and label it clearly to avoid confusion.

Check tires, oil, and brakes regularly. A broken-down car in zombie territory is a death sentence. Keep your vehicle in top shape and inspect it every time you stop to rest or refuel.

Never drive into unknown areas at full speed. A blocked road, cliff, or ambush can appear in seconds. Drive slow in unfamiliar zones and always be ready to turn around or stop quickly.

Know how to hotwire and repair vehicles. Abandoned cars can save your life—if you know how to start them. Learn basic repair skills and carry simple tools like wrenches, screwdrivers, and wire cutters with you.
